John Groves started spinning records in 1999 when he was working as a promotion director for two Kansas City radio stations. Since then he has played with and opened for several nationally touring artists such as George Clinton, Blu Cantrell, Frankie J, Robin Thicke, Ton Loc, and more.
Starting in 2004 he started producing and mixing radio shows. He has mixed shows locally on KCHZ – Z95.7, KCHZ – 95.7 the Vibe, and is currently mixing a Saturday night show for KMJK Magic 107.3 in Kansas City.
Groves has played everything from private parties all the way to headlining the largest free concert event in Missouri’s History at Kemper Arena in 2007. His ability to play a Hip Hop show on Friday night and then change gears and spin a Funk party on Saturday night make him one of the most versatile DJ’s In the business.
